Files should not be backed up manually, especially when there are so many backup solutions on the Internet. Auslogics BitReplica is one that stands out in a crowd, due to its straightforward and easy to understand functionality. It provides everything you would expect from a professional backup utility, including cloud-based backup features, but the best part is that all functions are very well organized. It can take less than a minute to prepare and execute any kind of backup task.

The software is not free, but its trial version is fully functional and it can be used for 30 days. It works on Windows XP and all later editions. The program asks for 256 MB of RAM or more and at least 50 MB of free disk space, which should not be a problem for any modern day computer.

Simplicity is Auslogics BitReplica's key feature. You can make any configurations jut by clicking check boxes and selecting options in drop menus. Furthermore, all options are presented in a logical order and you can spot them instantly, due to their large and colored icons. Created backup tasks are listed on the left side of the main user interface and you can view their assigned sources and destinations in the larger area on the right. You can execute all tasks at once, run them separately or let the program do it automatically, according to a schedule.

New backup jobs can be defined on a separate window, on which the program will guide you step by step, just like a wizard. After deciding what and where to back up, you can choose how to back up, when and make a few advanced configurations. The software can be set to perform standard, exact or full backups, as well as incremental or differential backups.

You can also schedule Auslogics BitReplica to back up your data on an hourly, daily or weekly basis, at specific hours. When you are done setting up a backup task, you can make a few final adjustments, like excluding files or setting the program to run external applications. When creating new backup jobs, you can choose to back up your data locally or on a cloud server, like SkyDrive or Box.net. The setup process is exactly the same, regardless of where you want to back up your files.

Pros

Auslogics BitReplica allows you to store your backed up data in local or cloud folders. You can choose between different backup methods and set up schedules. The available options are very well organized and easy to find.

Cons

The software does not provide support for other file synchronization services, besides SkyDrive and Box.net. Auslogics BitReplica will keep your data safe at all times, without too much user input.
